Soon Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission will get available. Within a few days, you can get read the notification. But, the authorities have released dates. So, one can check out the important dates.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Eligibility
As on 31st March of the academic year, the age of a child must be 5 years old. There is a minimum age limit. Further, the maximum age limit is also there.
Class I:
- Minimum age requirement is 5 years.
- Maximum age requirement is 7 years.
Class II:
- Minimum age requirement is 6 years.
- Maximum age requirement is 8 years.
Likewise, for other classes, there is an age limit too. So, minimum age limit for class III is 7 years. Further, the upper age limit is 9 years.
For class IV, the lower age limit is 8 years. The upper age limit is 10 years.
The age limit is applicable till class 10th only. But for admission in class 11th, no age restriction is available. Likewise, no age restriction for admission to class 12th. So, there is no lower as well as upper age limit.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Registration
No registration will be done if the seat is not available. If the seat is available, then public notice will be out. Then, admission will be granted according to the admission guidelines of KVS. After that, registration can be done.
If the number of seats are more than the registration, then further advertisements will be released.
Registration for class 11th will take place after the announcement of class 10th result. The admission procedure will be completed with 20 days of the declaration of class 10th result.
Registration forms are available at the Principal. So, interested candidates can get them. There are charges for the registration form. Hence, one can get them at free of cost.
One should submit it. Candidates must submit it at the concerned Vidyalayas only. But, they must have attested documents. So, one must submit the registration form with attested copies of documents only. The list of documents will be given.
List Of Documents Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission
Candidate must attach the prescribed documents. So, they will attach the self-attested copies of these. It is necessary to attach the same with the registration form. Hence, do not forget to do the same. The list is as follows.
- Birth certificate. It is especially for class 1st. The competent authority must issue this.
- Caste certificate. It is applicable to Sc, ST, OBC-NCL, BPL and EWS.
- Handicapped certificate. A civil surgeon must issue the certificate.
- Proof of residence.
- In the case of uniformed defense employees, certificate of retirement.
Admission In Class I
There will be seats for fresh admission. Among this 15 % will be for SC category. Next, 7.5% of seats are for ST category. A lottery system is available for admission.
Admission In Class II to Class VIII
No admission test for admission in class II to Class VIII. So, the admission will be on the basis of the priority category system. But if applications are more in number than available seats, then the lottery system will be followed.
Admission In Class IX
A test will take place for admission in class 9th. After that, the merit list will be prepared. However, separate category wise merit list will get available.
The admission test will be in the following subjects.
- Science
- Social Science
- English
- Hindi
- Mathematics
The time duration is 3 hours. The total marks consist of 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 33% marks.
Admission In Class XI
Admission in the different stream will be done on the basis of class 10th result. all streams ask for different minimum qualifying marks for the admission.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Important Dates
Candidates must check these dates. So, they can proceed accordingly. These dates will help them in applying. Hence, these dates are important. Thus, check the dates mentioned below.
- The release of advertisement for admission: In the last week of February 2019
- Commencement of online registration for class I: 1st March 2019
- Last date for the online registration for class I: 19th March 2019 till 04:00 PM
- Announcement of the provisionally selected list for admission in class I:
- First List: 26th March 2019
- Second List: 9th April 2019
- Third List: 23rd April 2019
- Second notification for the extended date of admission in class I under RTE provision if applications received under this provision is not sufficient:
- Release of notification: 30th March 2019
- Registration: 30th March 2019- 6th April 2019
- Admission will start from 8th April 2019 till 15th April 2019
- Secon notice will issue in case sufficient applications are not received from SC and ST:
- Release of notification: 30th March 2019
- Registration: 30th March 2019- 6th April 2019
- Admission will start from 8th April 2019 till 15th April 2019
- Registration for class II onwards: 2nd April 2019
- Last date for registration for class II onwards: 9th April 2019
- Announcement of the list for the admission to class II: 12th April 2019
- Admission for class 2nd onwards: 12th April 2019 till 20th April 2019
- Last date for admission: 30th April 2019
All these dates are not including admission for class 11th. Hence, the admission will start after the declaration of Board results.
Last date for the admission in class 11th is 1st July 2019.
