KARePASS is the initiative of the Government of Karnataka. It is for the Online Post Matric Scholarships disbursements. However, this one is for the upliftment of students in terms of education. Additionally, the main aim is to offer financial help to backward classes.

KAR ePASS means Electronic Payment and Application System of Scholarships. It is for distributing the Online Post matric Scholarships via ePASS to the students of backward classes. These students are financially weak. After all, it is offered for the Post Matric studies.

KAR ePASS is especially for the reserved category. So, it is helpful for those who are financially weak. With this scheme, they can get financial help from the Government of Karnataka.  Moreover, the scholarship is provided for continuing the higher studies. Students get the scholarship for pursuing UG as well as PG courses.

It connects many departments of the Government of Karnataka. So, these departments are mentioned below.

• Banks

However, electronic payment is for providing direct benefit. Hence, eligible students can apply for the Karnataka EPASS scholarship.

The mode of application is online only. So, interested students will apply through online mode. No offline mode is available. Many students get benefits from the scholarship.

Karnataka Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

It is necessary to check the eligibility criteria. Only eligible candidate can get the scholarship. If any candidate is found to be not eligible for the scholarship, then he will be debarred from this programme.

Candidate must fulfill the eligibility criteria to avail this scholarship. Firstly, the annual income of the candidate’s family applying for the Post Matric Scholarship must be less than Rs 2,00,000. If the candidate’s family income is more than 2 lacs, then he is not qualified to apply for this scholarship. It is the main criteria for availing the scholarship.

Only the residents of Karnataka state can apply for this one. Further, only the reserved category is eligible to apply. Reserved category includes EBC, OBC, SC and ST.

Required Documents for Karnataka Scholarships

Candidate will require the following documents. Hence, these documents are necessary to apply for the Post Matric Scholarship.

• Caste certificate
• Income certificate
• Aadhar Card
• SSLC Scoreboard
• Residential Certificate
• Bonafide certificate
• Details of bank passbook. IFSC code of the bank. Bank Number.
• Photograph of the candidate. It should be in JPG format. The size must not exceed 30KB.
• Either Gram Panchayat or Habitation Certificate: Local institution must issue these certificates.

KARePASS Procedure To Apply

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria will apply for KARePASS. Therefore, they will fill the online application. However, applicants will fill the form with correct information. There are two kinds of scholarships.

• Fill the online application form. Fill all the entries. Blanks with * mark are mandatory to fill.

The candidate who will apply for the scholarship is able to check the status. They can check it online. Entering some information will let you know the application status.

Choose the desired option. Only select the option which is useful to you. So, they will navigate to another page. Next, fill some entries. These instructions will assist in knowing the status. Get ready to follow these instructions.

• Firstly, select Fresh/Renewal
• Next, fill Academic Year
• Next, SSLC Examination Number
• After that, fill a year of Pass
• Next, fill SSLC Pass Type
• Next, date of Birth
• Lastly, click either on Get Scholarship Details or Get Hostel Details.
• Finally, you will have your desired results.

The applicant can take the print out of their status. It can be useful in the future. Keep it somewhere safe. It needs to be produced at the time of admission.
